The History

1989

 1989

The founding year of Deaf Aid. The band's style quickly evolved into thrash metal with slight punk influences.

1991

The first tape "König III" was recorded and released in three days in the rehearsal room. The sound had meanwhile developed into thrash. With political-social critical lyrics, they made it on a Swiss metal sampler right away. After various concerts in the region and abroad, the successor to the legendary "König III" tape was ready.

1994

With the second tape "Vanitas" ready, Deaf Aid stood again on many regional stages. In the meantime, the sound had changed to thrash metal with death metal influences, characterized by massive and now lower-tuned guitars, hard grooves and death-metallic shouts.

1995

Two songs of Deaf Aid appeared on the metal sampler "Lotsanastyshreds".

2000

After eleven years Deaf Aid was put on ice for a short time in 2000, the band members devoted themselves to other projects, but the fans' interest in Deaf Aid did not dry up and so they reunited in the summer of 2003 to play more concerts.

2003

New songs were rehearsed to finally be able to perform on stage again.

2006

With a new singer and a lot of new songs, the band enters its 18th year.

2007

After gigs in regional and national clubs, youth centres and festivals the CD "Pictured Pain" was recorded in October 2007.

2008

CD release show with Master. Numerous concerts at home and abroad with Disbelief, Skullfist, Powerwulf and others.

2012

First preparations for the next album.

2014 - 2017

The CD "Shreds of Insanity" produced by Christoph Brandes in the "Iguana Studios" in March near Freiburg was released in February 2015 and received consistently positive feedback. Concerts followed to promote the new album and to present the new tracks live.

2018 - 2019

New tracks will be written for the upcoming album "Precursors of Extermination".

2020

Deaf Aid released "Precursors of Extermination" and played streaming shows, owed to the pandemic.

2021

With still few performance opportunities, Deaf Aid devoted itself to new tunes for the next album.

2022

The advance single "Reign of Retards" was released at the end of February. More songs are being finalized and will complete the new album.

Sven, the longtime bass player of the band, leaves the band in October at his own request.

2023

With Basti, a new man on bass could be won. Deaf Aid starts into the 34th year with a new bass player and a new album.

The pre-release video "Hellgate" is published in April and the album

"Hellgate", produced again by Christoph Brandes, is released in May.
